Two rides at moderately smooth Rowlett Creek Preserve trail kept hope alive that the drops would be workable. But a couple of ride this weekend on more technical trails let me know this was a bad idea for technical trails. The worst part was technical descents. I could do them but I was slow and very uncomfortable. My hands and back began to ache from fatigue after about 5 miles.
I really enjoy the dirt drops on my commuter, but in technical, sketchy
terrain off-road they just don't give me the comfort I need.
So, it's back to the Jones bars and I will find a way to mount the twist grip shifter for use with the Rohloff.
